COVID - 19 Studio Safety Plan

  • Students, parents and teachers will perform a Self-Assessment using the link attached before coming to dance each day. We have a strict no sick policy for all dancers and teachers.

  • Anyone with any symptom of COVID is expected to self-isolate in order to protect our younger, immunocompromised, and those not eligible to be vaccinated.

  • We would like to keep the number of people inside the studio to a minimum, please continue to follow the practice of dropping off and picking up students at the front door, and avoid lingering in studio hallways.

  • Students are to come to dance ready to go in dance clothes.

  • All students and staff should sanitize their hands upon entering the studio, as well as after any breaks.

  • We will be using two studio spaces within the building to allow for less contact between students not in the same classes.

  • Dance Collective staff will continue to clean between classes, as well as disinfect hard surfaces such as door handles, barres, dance equipment and other regularly used surfaces.

  • Dancers are only allowed to bring one SMALL shoe bag with them into the studio. There will be designated spaces for bags inside the studio.

  • Studio space will have taped off spaces on the floor to ensure social distancing.

  • At this time, bare feet are not allowed in the studio. So please remember proper footwear.

  • Dancers should bring their own reusable water bottle from home, labelled with their name. There is a water bottle filling station available if needed, but no access to water fountains at this time.

  • Classes are limited based on government regulations and studio size.

  • All teachers, students, and any visitors will be required to wear masks in all areas of the studio building at all times, removing it to drink water as necessary.

  • To limit contact with other classes, washroom access is limited to teachers and only, if necessary, to students.

  • If you are feeling unwell in any way, please do not visit the studio.
